
Cédric Sarazin, 40, has been Director of Development & Strategy for Groupement des Cartes Bancaires "CB" since 2000. With more than 7 billion transactions annually, CB is the leading European Card Payment Scheme. Within Cartes Bancaires CB, his Division brings together research & development, product marketing, European & International projects, relationships with Retail & Consumer Associations as well as the Communication Department. Cédric Sarazin is also a Board Member of the French Banking Standards Organization (CFONB), and represents the French Banking Federation (FBF) in the Cards Working Group of the European Payment Council (EPC). Within this Group, he is also Chairman of the EPC Card Fraud Prevention Task Force. After a doctorate in management and a training as engineer in statistics, Cédric Sarazin began his career in Tokyo as Marketing General Manager for SPOM Japan, company specialized in promoting and selling chip card solutions in Japan. In 1993, he is appointed Chip Card Product Marketing Manager for Bull CP8 in France. Between 1995 and 2000, he holds the position of New Technologies Manager for Europay International in Belgium (now MasterCard Europe), in charge of promoting of new technologies in payments (EMV chip cards, internet payments...).
